Years ago I was given a creative outlet. One that I never thought I'd enjoy so much. My grandmother showed me how to crochet one day and since her passing it means more to me than I could ever imagine.

With the techniques she taught me and the wonderful world of Pinterest
I decided to give this DIY project a go. I used a combination of left over yarn I had sitting around and shirt yarn that I made a few months back.
When I saw this pin I immediately had to try it. This blogger successfully inspired and my festive little coffee cozy was complete.

I took it to work for the first time and received such positive reviews. I loved the excitement, more so because it was free and a DIY! One coworker even states, "your coffee has a jacket! How cute!" I loved her excitement and I can't wait to make more.

This weeks Pinterest inspired pin is a DIY face scrub that is made with something that you likely already have at home. This pinner found a solution for a baking soda and water scrub that is suggested to be gentler on skin.

The original article found in Real Simple Magazine,
is a simple face scrub that left my skin feeling clean and refreshed.
No harsh residue and no stinging. I highly recommend it for sensitive skin.
I applied a light layer of my daily moisturizer afterwards and now i'm ready for bed.
