I recently changed my schedule to save my family money on child care and to spend more time with my little one. After searching some pins, I came across a DIY "porcelain-like" ornament mixture. I decided to try it. While the mixture appeared easy at first, the drying process showed differently. The cakey, cracking appearance and rather dusty texture left me feeling like I needed to find a new recipe and I'm still looking. Luckily I have time until Christmas and until then I will gather more craft ideas and test them out.
I'm glad I came across this pin and tried it. The ornaments came out okay. Not what I was expecting, I must have done something wrong. I will try again soon, or I might try another. However, this pin honestly inspired me and I hope to make this an annual tradition. My son really liked playing with the doughy consistency. Of course, gotta love boys.
